A whimsical limited edition acryllic charm – Beatnik Rat Playing Cello. For keychains, etc..

Our Beatnik Rat is an old friend, who lived in an abandoned theatre and learned to play a cello by listening to vinyl records, inspired by their muse Jacqueline du Pré.  Here Beatnik Rat can be found in a charm form, to be attached to key chains or wherever you would like some spark and reminder for what is possible, when you feed your imagination daily, and practice your arts.  Design by Carli Castellani, from a paper and cardboard puppet and props.

The acryllic charm is approximately 2″ tall by 2″ long at tail’s end.

We would love to see where our Beatnik Rat travels with you.

This is one whimsical rat — here in a limited edition acryllic charm form, but exists as a paper puppet with a cardboard cello in our Puppet Theatre.

An old friend, Beatnik Rat lived in an abandoned theatre and learned to play a cello by listening to vinyl records, inspired by their muse Jacqueline du Pré.  Here Beatnik Rat can be found in a sticker form, to offer some spark for what is possible, when you feed your imagination daily, and practice your arts.

Origin Story:  Beatnik Rat originally appeared in a pandemic play,  A Rat’s Chance, by Carli Castellani, and came to life as a 3-d paper rat puppet, with cardboard cello, and wood-and-hair bow.  The charm version is approx. 2″ tall and 2″ to end of tail.
